Hoboken Arts and Music Festival – May 6, 2007

Mark Your Calendars & Don’t Miss The Next One

While I have been buried under the responsibilities of my real job for the past month and a half, I couldn’t let the month of May end without letting folks know about one of my favorite outdoor events of the year and the official kick-off to summer – the Hoboken Arts and Music Festival.

Review: Shades of Hoboken

Color Me Delighted

One of the many benefits of living in Hudson West as opposed to Manhattan is access to more spacious living situations, with actual rooms (yes, plural). UNLESS, you’re like me and you live with roommates (yes, plural), one of whom is a tall, obtrusive Canadian that skips rope and hangs his underwear in our shared space.

What does this have to do with new Hoboken restaurant / jazz venue, Shades of Hoboken? Two weekends ago, my mom was up from D.C. for a visit, and we were confined to my bedroom because of the Canadian’s antics. After going a little stir-crazy, we decided to venture down to the street for something to eat and for relief from our foul moods.

I decided to try out Shades, a new spot in the Monroe Center on 720 Monroe Street.
